Garden State Model Boaters is a radio controlled boat and ship modeling club located at the Jersey Shore. Members' interests include scale radio control, fast electric, radio controlled sail, historic craft. Static modelers are aslo welcome.. We meet monthly, usually on the third Tuesday of the month, at 8:00pm at the Spring Lake Heights Community Center in Spring Lake Hieghts, New Jersey.
From April-October we have at least one in-water weekend event each month. Each year we also host an indoor spring show, gather with our spouses for an annual dinner, and exhibit our work at several antique and classic boat shows.
Our membership runs the gamut from novice kit builders to professional and award-winning modelers. Joining a modeling club is a great way to share information, improve your skills, share information and plans, and get new ideas!
